There
are many people and stories that I wish to speak of.
Please
return to this wigwam, so that we can sit
together in a circle and I can update you with a new story
or dream.
I
have had the great privilege to work with many different
people from many walks of life. Among these are the very ordinary and the very
talented, one being no better than the other, just
different!
I
have approached several of these people to seek their
permission to write about them, their dreams, or their
projects.
As their replies come in to me, I will post them
here for you to read for yourself.

DYING FOR DUTY >>>>
Gary Jacobson’s Mission of Truth
There
are those who are sacrificed
in war! There
are those who are spared
in war! There
are those who are sacrificed
by being spared! The
latter seems to fit Gary Jacobson like the ultimate
uniform!
My
words can never serve justice to such an extraordinary
man. Yet,
after receiving a lengthy email from Gary Jacobson I
knew I had to soldier
up and have the
conviction to give it my best shot.
Surviving
‘the Nam’ is a never-ending story for so many.
For
Gary
, one
constant after
effect of war resides very close to his heart - three
out of his four children developed birth defects due to
his exposure to agent orange toxins.
Where does the price of freedom end and start?
My
heart holds the belief that too many of our soldiers are
forever tattooed with countless, sleepless nights, and
years or, life times, of the lingering memories of
terrors, tortures, and the unimaginable horrors of war.
Too many soldiers give or lose their life; go
missing in action; or end up vacant and abandoned in one
form or another. In
my opinion, too many are dying for duty!
Worse
yet, war unquestionably destroys more families, than it
ever brings together - both while it is occurring and
after it is over.
Personally,
I have never been a soldier on a field of battle.
Therefore, I
cannot speak for those
who were there; those
who make it home; or, those who never return.
However,
I am sure many others have their own belief system about
what a soldier is, or is not.
What they should, or should not be!
That being said, here is a direct quote from Gary
Jacobson about what he experienced -
“Learn
what the warriors learned, for indeed, it is warriors
who have first hand seen the
evil and devastation of hatred, who first hand
know the value of peace, love, compassion and harmony
among men.”
Gary
was a combat infantry man/part-time correspondent who
found himself by writing
articles upon C-rations boxes, for ‘The
Oklahoma City Times.’
Now he writes for himself, with the purpose to
reach out to others through his prolific poetry and
writings. He
expertly exemplifies his inner and outer experiences.
He provides encouragement, empathy and
reassurance to other soldiers of both war and life.
He clearly establishes that the real
mission one has, is
to live a life of healing, in a world with so many
unanswered questions.
Today,
Gary Jacobson is a survivor of the Vietnam War.
He lives with an extra hole in his head.
He lives with shrapnel imbedded three inches into
his brain. He
has had to relearn how to walk and talk, and above all,
he still wrestles with the haunting memories and
emotions of one God
awful war!
Gary
writes, “as soon as I
was hit I blacked out.
My soul was blown out of my body, and I remember
an out of body experience.”
He
has written more than two hundred poems.
Many of his works are profoundly touching, like
the one he wrote for the troops going to Iraq.
In one line he sums things up - “Bless
them in times they do not know.”
Shortly
after serving a two-year mission as a minister he was
handed a gun, taught to hate and kill and was then
served up to Vietnam as a well-trained soldier.
From the lines of another of his moving poems
‘Combat’ I quote, “Nothing
can prepare you for that.”
The
graphic recollections that Gary Jacobson shares, do not
come easy as he states, “I
cannot write of Vietnam without crying rivers of tears
as I write.”
Pushing
forward in life, Gary has written ‘My
Thousand Yard Stare’ a
book with more than two hundred poems and coloured
pictures.
Gary’s
stripped down, undressed truths of war speak not only
for him, but for thousands of others who lived, died or
who are survivors of war.
After
four hospitals and fourteen months of hell and
rehabilitation, he still manages to maintain an
inability to feel sorry for himself.
Gary’s
explicit details of men in burn wards will touch you
deeply. Bodies
burned black as ash, and men, which are left without
proper features of hair, nose, eyes and mouth.
Good-looking men left to slobber in wheel chairs.
Then, he goes on to write of the steadfast
strength and love of family, who stand by these patients
and heroes with such great devotion.
Mankind
has done some horrific things to itself - will we ever
learn to end such atrocities?
My
purpose is not to rewrite Gary’s experiences.
My purpose is simply to introduce you
the reader,
to a man who has encountered hell on earth and is still
surviving it today!
For anyone of interest, young or old, veterans or
non veterans, Gary generously welcomes you to join him
on the web. He
can be found at <pzzzz.tripod.com/namtour.html>.
To
Gary Jacobson, “I salute you Sir for your efforts,
poetry, stories, and prayers - and for your continued
support to reach out, comfort and heal as many people as
possible! This
truly is a wonderful mission of truth!”
One
last thought to leave you with - (for those who are not
aware) - Native
American/First Nations People long have been and are
still today, very much deserving to be remembered for
also being soldiers of war!

Every once in a life time, a book will
come to each of us that will change or confirm the way we
think or believe. Grandmother Sakina Blue-Star, gifted me
with just such a book. It is called ‘Rays
of Light’ by White Lily.
I have since learned that there are
actually two books by White Lily. What makes them so
extraordinary is summed up best in the foreword of the
book.
Foreword: (as quoted) . . .
These lectures were compiled from lectures given at the
White Lily Chapel, Ashley, Ohio, through the trance
mediumship of Rev. Margaret L. Fling, by our beloved
teacher, White Lily.
They are, as she brought them forth,
with no revision.
It is our hope that the love, kindness
and patience of this wonderful spirit will come forth from
the printed page to you as it has for us who are
privileged to sit within her classes.
"For anyone who has
wondered or feared where we go after this earthly life -
this is book is a must read" - White
Sparrow."
Several samples of these life
enlightening lectures may be read
for free by Googling White Lily Lectures on line.
For those who seek enlightenment, I am privileged
to be a messenger in this way for White Lily,

DEAD DOG
BARKING - (Sacred Circle Treasures)
The
book ‘Dead Dog Barking’, (DDB) is a fifteen-year
journey from the time of discovery - to it’s birth and
manifestation in 2007.
The
setting is Galveston Island, Texas.
The year is 1992.
The details
of this true story, have the power to unearth great
treasures and resurrect an entire tribe of genocide. For
those who have tried to dismiss this monumental story
and leave it buried, the time is now for the truth to
surface.
‘Dead
Dog Barking’ will raise your curiosity and give you
answers to questions you may have never asked.
Tom Goldenbear, is not a famous author - but
a courageously honest one!
His
book is about this physical and spiritual struggle and
discovery. It’s
a piece of a historical dig that certain prominent men
would rather keep legally buried.
Dead
Dog Barking is a factual story and then some.
It will bait you and keep you enthralled from
start to finish. This
is not a book for the lighthearted reader.
It is for those of you with the courage to embark
on a journey unlike the average mystery or spiritual
fiction book.
For
the reader who thinks that they had read everything -
this is for you! For
those among us who dare to expose ourselves to a new way
of thinking - this
is for you! For
those of you who have never read a mystery book before,
but always wanted to - consider starting with this book.
The
author is a long time anthropological researcher, a
straight talker, a very deep thinker, and a Spiritual
warrior for truth.
I
tell you all of these things, not because the author
is my husband. I
tell you all of this because this book can change
people’s lives, and reveal hidden truth!
I
personally give my thanks to the Great Spirit, for
giving Tom Goldenbear the courage, insight and
total commitment to bring ‘Dead Dog Barking’ to life!
Anyone
wishing to read (for free) ‘Dead Dog Barking’,
please visit www.deaddogbarking.com
or, visit my links in Wigwam H.
Dead
Dog Barking was launched live on the internet
January 25, 2007. By
January 26, 2007 - Tom Goldenbear already
received positive praise from an Award
Winning Author,
stating “DDB
is powerful stuff - fantastic and believable!”
She
further went on to say the style reminded her of The
Celestine Prophecy.
This is a strong indication of where Dead
Dog Barking is headed!
May
the Great Spirit guide and protect the innocent involved
with this book!
