METAL OX– 1901, 1961

Once upon a time, you were marked with the spirit of strength! You are likened to the bison or buffalo.  Capable of coming at someone and charging.  Domineering, yes, that would be right! Seems that you lock horns with many.  The metal ox is known to be vengeful!  So, hello out there!  Anyone dealing with you will quickly learn what an ox is all about.  Now, that being said, you can also be eloquent in speaking your mind.  Either way, one always knows where the metal ox is coming from.  You are a very determined ox.  Obsessed with pulling your cart until you reach your marked destination.  Probably one of few words as well.  You are quite content to work around the clock if need be. Failure is simply not an option with you.  Your stamina, my friend, is amazing!  You are known to go a long time on only a little sleep. The metal ox is not what one would call the affectionate type, not like Taurus, the bull!  Please do not mistake the two types!  Oxen are great organizers!  You are honest and extremely hardworking. Often, you were a loner when you were a child growing up!  Also, you are engrained with a stern and serious nature!

WATER OX – 1913, 1973

Once upon a time, you were marked with the spirit of a diplomat! Like other oxen, you are very ambitious.  However, a bit more realistic than idealistic!  Basically, you are very happy souls! You tend to be more laid back then the other oxen.  One would have to say you pull more patients!  You don’t seem to openly be charging all the time like the others.  Instead, you prefer to wear down the enemy.  You always hold up law and order!  Water oxen like the outdoors!  You possess a wagonload of unshakable amounts of determination!  Most of you are calm souls who try to be open to various new ideas.  Oxen, are remembered as always there when a friend is in need.  You work very well behind the scenes.  No need for the limelight to shine on your path.  Folks soon learn you are both extremely loyal and trustworthy!  You never shrug from putting your best hoof forward. 

WOOD OX – 1925, 1985

Once upon a time, you were marked with the spirit of consideration! First and foremost, I would have to say you wood oxen are often exceptionally talented.  Conservative by nature, of course, but what ox isn’t, right?  You are highly admired for your gifts of integrity and sense of fair play.  You have physical strength, topped off with natural energy to spare.  And, let’s not forget your wonderful sense of humour. Wood oxen are steadfast souls, and good listeners to boot.  You simply embrace the world of new concepts.  Most of you are quite corporate minded.  Big business intrigues both the girls and boys.  Similar to the water oxen, but I would have to say less sensitive.  You create wonderful home environments.  Traditionally furnished is your usual style.  You likely have an office, study or some specific set of space set aside where you work away into the wee late hours of the morning.  This is designed to help you pull your own weight, all the way to the top of your field. 

FIRE OX – 1937, 1997

Once upon a time, you were born with the spirit of toughness! Well, I’ll just say it!  You blow up a lot!  You tend to be very materialistic.  However, you work your butt off for it.  You are often hard as horns, when it comes to the feelings of other folks. You like to be the one holding the remote control.  Like the other oxen types, you are honest!  If necessary, you may lose a battle or two, but you will win the war.  As a matter of fact, you may win the battles too!  Many of you become devote police detectives, or you are family with the armed forces, RCMP, etc.  You’re extremely protective of your family and most people clearly will know it! When duty calls, you are always there!  Most are also known for being kind, warm and a bit flamboyant.  Your challenge is to keep in mind that you over estimate your own abilities.  Well, there are a lot worse things in this world than that! 

EARTH OX – 1949

Once upon a time, you were marked with the spirit of balance! Slowly but surely that’s your motto.  You are a well balanced individual!  With your natural charisma you can make it big in the entertainment type industries.  You aren’t the emotional, or sensitive type ox.  My, how you hold your ground! Surrender, this just isn’t in your vocabulary.  You endure hardship and suffering without so much as a word.  People are often amazed at how much you can endure without breaking.  Security and stability drives you on your way of practical planned pursuits. You fight for advancement and are more than willing to do what it takes and then some!  You are well aware of what you can and cannot do or handle.  Somehow, sooner or later, you never fail to make your mark!
